Other than Dark Matter, what else could make up the missing mass of galaxies?

At this point we still don’t know where mass come from in the transition between sub atomic particles and atoms so the question seems a bit ahead of itself. That is where it is hoped the higgs-boson will help explain things… As far as dark matter goes, people are a bit off track in thinking dark matter means a mysterious substance… In reality it is only a term for the matter we can’t see… Why we can’t see it is the only mystery but given our size and relevance in the known universe it seems our egos outreach our abilities… In time we might come to understand and in time we might not… For now one theory seems as good as the next so why not take a stab in the dark (matter)…

What is your question?
