OS/2 is installed on F:. Why does RSU need space on C:?

Regardless of where OS/2 is installed, if RSU thinks there is sufficient free space on C:, it will allocate the $RSUTMP$ and $PMTUSR$ directories there. If there is not enough space on C:, it will prompt the user for an alternate location. But OS/2 is a multitasking system; if other activity (e.g. print spooling, swap growth) uses space on the partition that RSU assumes is available, RSU may run out of space as it transfers the RSU support package or FixPak files. Workaround: Free up space on the partition where RSU allocated its directories, then go back to the PSP ‘web site and start the installation again. If one or more complete FixPak files have already been transferred, this will be detected by RSU.
