Opinions on bridesmaids dresses all the same color, but…?
My best friend did exactly this for her wedding, and it looked awesome. There were four of us as bridesmaids and we are all vastly different shapes (plus one bridesmaid was large enough that she has trouble finding her size in stores – her mother ended up making her dress!). We carried coral and pink flowers. All of our dresses were really different styles on top (I wore a V-neck tank dress, but the others were halter, bateau, and spaghetti strap) and it didn’t look messy at all since they were the same color and length. And honestly, the best part was that we each got to spend the amount that we were comfortable with. I ended up getting my dress at a department store, on sale, for less than $70. There’s no bridesmaid dress that comes at such a reasonable price! Plus, since I got to wear a dress I liked, I’ve been able to wear it to several other weddings and cocktail parties since then.
