Online Videos keep stopping and starting with no sound?

This never used to happen. It’s not just online sounds I can’t hear, its all sound. I checked the volume control and speaker settings, they are all fine. Also last week I could watch vids online ith no problem after I waited for them to load. Now when I want to watch a vid, the screen say’s “loading” but even after an hour nothing seems to happen. Some vids will stop and start though. BTW the sound went at the same time as the videos not playing. PLEASE HELP.
