SURF – BASS BEACHES GUNNAMATTA Staff member Jarrod headed down to Gunnamatta surf beach on Wednesday with his mate Gary. The boys arrived in the dark to fish first light on the incoming tide. Although the water was very low, they did manage a few nice salmon around the pound mark. Blue and white bait was working well. Surprisingly enough, Jarrod said it wasn’t that cold. Chook Sel from Facebook took a bunch of anglers down to Gunnamatta last Sunday. The bus load of boys had a ball catching and releasing plenty of salmon. The trip was put together by Chook and was very successful. WESTERN PORT Customers Jason and Mick headed out last Sunday in search of Gummy Sharks. While the boys were kicking back, one fish did which turned out to be a 7.7kg snapper. CLEELAND BIGHT Still some good calamari being caught in the Cleeland Bight area this week.
