If it is someone elderly, there is a class of prescription drugs that show some small promise of helping, but they are costly and can cause nausea. If it is yourself, as I indicated, dementia (though the prefered term is usually Alzeimer’s) is being vigorously researched. This is not easy, as this has to be long-term research, and it is hard to specifically define the stage of brain-function loss and other variables. So far, few of these studies are being performed scientifically, and of these, fewer still show clear promise.
