One can help but notice your remarkable infatuation with Battletech and Mecha in general; how did your involvement start with Battletech?
BKerensky: MechWarrior 2 demo. It had a single mission (#4 of Clan Jade Falcon, Bone Machine) and three ‘Mechs (a TimberWolf, a Marauder and a uhmm … I don’t remember). Shortly after, I bought the complete game and I became addict to it. Ghost Bear’s Legacy, MW2 expansion followed shortly, and bought MW2: Mercenaries the day it came out. Back then, I knew very little of the original background, and didn’t know the difference between Inner Sphere and Clans, so I started looking around for the original game and background books. Even before buying the basic rulebook, I had collected all Technical Readouts (which describe wargear). Rulebooks followed shortly (though it was very hard to find them; here in Italy, BattleTech is barely known and all books had to be imported from the US, which made them quite expensive for a fourteen years old boy), as well as novels. By the time MechWarrior 3 was out, I had a good collection of BattleTech books, few miniatures, forced a few friends to play
