Once the streets are publically maintained will the town be providing street lighting?
Section 2 of the Street Lighting policy states that the policy applies to both public and non-public streets (see Appendix E). Converting any existing standard street lighting from HOA accounts to Town accounts with Progress Energy or qualifying the subdivision for town reimbursement of decorative lighting costs will be processed in accordance with the street lighting policy. Street lighting costs are not a cost of converting the streets from private to public ownership and maintenance.
