Once the county planning document is submitted to OMH, can counties amend the information included?
Counties can amend their plans after submission, but the timing of the amendments is critical. For Phase 1 providers, any changes in the county plan must be submitted and approved by OMH within the window for submission of Phase 1 PAR applications (12 weeks from the date the PAR applications are distributed). For Phase 2 providers, counties have more time to submit changes, but risk being locked in to their original countywide capacity and Medicaid revenue projections once OMH begins approving Phase 1 PAR applications. A county that identifies a need to amend their plan should notify the Field Office immediately, and provide a brief summary of the expected revisions and a time frame for submission of the amended plan.
