Once our organization engages BrightLine, what is the timeframe for completing the SAS 70 audit and issuing our final audit report?
Timeframes for completing SAS 70 audits are client specific. Each client selects the timing for their audit prior to engaging BrightLine. Therefore, the amount of time between the date BrightLine is engaged and the dates selected for fieldwork varies widely between service organizations. The amount of fieldwork required to complete an audit varies based on the type of audit and the scope of the audit. Fieldwork for BrightLine’s Type 1 SAS 70 audits generally spans one to two calendar weeks. Fieldwork for SAS 70 Solutions’ Type 2 SAS 70 audits generally spans two to four calendar weeks. Clients are provided with a draft report 14 days following the completion of fieldwork. Clients typically review and approve a final draft within seven days, but are allocated as much time as deemed necessary to complete their review and make required changes.
