Once my debts are consolidated with a consumer credit counseling agency how long before the collection phone calls & letters stop?
Answer. Once debts are consolidated the process could take up to 90 days (3 payments in your program) for creditors to fully implement you into the program and stop the phone calls and letters. In the first 90 days we ask you to be courteous with your creditors and tell them, if they call, that you have enrolled with a consumer credit counseling agency and give them the phone number so they can verify your program.
