You could not be better placed for History abounds with a formal Heritage Trail from Bowen Hills to parts of Hamilton. The historic Breakfast Creek Hotel serves world-famous steaks and beer ‘off the wood’; there is the Temple of the Holy Triad dating from the 1880’s and Booroodabin, Brisbane’s oldest lawn bowls establishment. Palma Rosa at Queens Road, Hamilton is an imposing Victorian villa and Miegunyah in Jordan Terrace, Bowen Hills is open for public inspection on Wednesdays, Saturdays and Sundays. And if all that is too tiring, Newstead Park is a great place for a picnic.
