Once cleansed with the blood of the Lamb, can it be washed off?
No. It can never be washed off. Imagine a girlfriend or boyfriend who asks you to marry them. They love you so much but God loves you even more. He says there is nothing that You can do that can ever take away Your salvation. It’s not a bargain, It’s a gift, a gift you have accepted. I have commited awful sins even though I’m so young, only 14 but things that I thought God would have hated me for. But He loves you so much and we as your Christian brothers and sisters will stand behind you as He so commands.
Once Saved, always Saved. God has chosen His people before the start of time and no one can be taken out of the Book of the Lamb. If your name is not in the Book at the end of time, your name was never there. God knows everything about past, present and future there is no surprises for Him. We are sinners, and praise God for being full of mercy and grace. He sent His only son, to pay for our sins, and so He did. He came not to condemn but to save sinners, sinners chosen by God, sinners who are willing to follow His commands. Fear not for sinning again, but work hard to repent, give glory to our Creator. Trails are for us to grow in spirit and endurance, to prepare us for the living in The New Jerusalem Being aware of your sins is a good sign of the Holy Spirit working in your life. Hallelujah!
1 John 1:7 but if we walk in the light, as He is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus his Son cleanseth us from all sin. ASV As long as you are truly trying to live a life of obedience to God then Christ’s blood will cleanse you. Everybody makes mistakes (1 John 1:8). All God asks is that we honestly and whole-heartedly do our best for Him and ask forgiveness when we mess up. On the other hand, if you know better and even at one time followed Him, but now stubbornly refuse to follow God, then yes, 2 Peter 2:21-22 would apply to you. I believe this has more to do with your heart. Only God knows your heart and whether or not you’re really trying to follow Him.
