On what rivers does Idaho Power influence the flows?
Idaho Power’s water releases only influence the Snake River in Hells Canyon. Upstream, flows are controlled by the Federal Bureau of Reclamation. Our dams on the upper Snake River simply pass the water they receive from upstream. Flows on the Boise, Payette, and Owyhee rivers are controlled by the Bureau of Reclamation. Except for Cascade Dam on the Payette River, we have no facilities on those rivers.
