That’s really just showing how eloquent zigbee really is. All devices are talking to each other and depending on the distance and other surrounding devices zigbee will dictate the method. That diagram shows how zigbee can self-repair as one device fails without crashing the system. When the zigbee signal can be routed around a bad device that falls off the system it becomes quite powerful. It’s definitely one of its strong features as a wireless protocol.
