The Presence Algae in 24 liter water bottles is not unusual, but it certainly is unpleasant. Usually algae in bottled water is the result of water which has been in contact with air and sunlight. Sometimes the cistern that is part of the cooler in which the bottle rests on has algae in it and will contaminate each new bottle it comes in contact with. Make sure you cistern has been cleaned or ask your bottled water provider to replace it. Also store your water bottles away from direct sunlight.
