On the Inventory Item Maintenance page, what is “Shipping Additional”?
“Shipping Additional” is the amount you want to charge for each additional item added to an order during our shipping consolidation on the Checkout page. MarketplaceAdvisor takes the highest shipping amount indicated in a multiple item checkout and adds each “additional shipping” amount as indicated on a per item basis to calculate the total shipping charge. This calculation affects any and all items in the shopping cart, whether there are multiples of the same item, or quantities of several different items. The item with the most expensive Shipping charge is used as the base, with the Shipping Additional amount for each additional item added to create an Order Shipping Total.
