From July 1, 2007, until June 30, 2008, franchisors must select one and only one set of disclosure requirements: original Franchise Rule, amended Franchise Rule, or UFOC Guidelines. Technically, that would preclude a franchisor from furnishing disclosures electronically unless the franchisor opted to use the amended Rule – the only one of the three available sets of disclosure requirements that expressly permits electronic disclosure.
