On eBay does a seller have to leave feedback to a buyer?

When I don’t get feed back in return, I normally send message through ebay and let them know that I did left them positive feed back and ask them to do the same for me. Most of the time, I get return feed back. Some times buyer doesn’t want to leave feed backs because they want to sell what they just bought. That happened to me before…. I feel that leaving return feed back is some what of common courtesey.
