The amendment of the articles of association of BASF SE regarding the new number of shares has been recorded in the commercial register of the local court (Amtsgericht) Ludwigshafen am Rhein on May 29, 2008. The reorganization of the stock exchange listing and of the number of shares held in custody accounts was proceeded for June 27, 2008.
