A9. Mission district, is a grouping of faith communities with a common Mission District Priest, Who may or may not live within the Mission district itself. His primary role is to assist the local Faith Communities to grow as authentic communities of disciples. Each Mission District shall form a Mission District Council. This Council will be made up of two representatives from each Faith Community within the District and the Mission District Priest shall chair meetings of the Council. The role of the Council will be: • To promote and facilitate mission and ministry throughout the District. • Coordinate training in formation throughout the Mission District. • Assist the local Faith Communities. • Bring the Faith Communities together for Fifth Sunday Worship. • Report regularly to the MDO on the life of the District, its needs and direction.
