You can put an acrylic or oil varnish over acrylic paint. You can try to get an enamel spray gloss finish which might give it more of a satin sheen to it since you are putting it over flat clear spray, but with more coats you should get a glossier finish. Just make sure that each coat is fully dry before you add another (usually a day or two in a well ventilated area, or else things WILL bleed and crack). Usually these types of sprays do not yellow , but if you are unsure just check on the can, or go to your local art shop and they can help you.
