Make a backup, of course, before upgrading, but the command make upgrade automatically updates your existing config files. Don’t try to use your old files as they were when going from 1.0 to 2.0. The upgrade has a couple of compatibility tweaks that you probably want to change once you’re on the new version. Set local_recipient_maps to an appropriate map or use the default setting, and change unknown_local_recipient_reject_code to a permanent error (554).
