Ok, so if I subscribe to Choice extra w/HD access, The sports pack and MLB EI…..will i be able to watch the Yankee games on YES-HD or do I need Superfan as well ?
Yep, you need Superfan to get games in HD. I Currently have Premier service. If I drop down to Choice or Choice Extra, will I still get FSN Detroit in HD or would I have to add the Sports Pack? When I put my zip code in it shows I am in the zone for it. The D* site is a bit confusing on this. Go here: http://www.directv.com/DTVAPP/global…setId=P3000004 And put in your ZIP code. DirecTV will show you which RSN you will receive with Choice / Choice Xtra, and which ones you will only get with the Sports Pack. The Twins – Angels game today was not carried by any “local” OTA or RSN here in Minnesota. Even with that, the game was available through MLBEI via the Angels feed, but blacked out here in Minnesota. Per the MLB blackout rules, “should” this blackout have been in effect? Unfortunately, yes. Unlike in the NHL, where you can get an out-of-market feed when there is no in-market feed, the MLB will not allow you to *EVER* watch an out-of-market feed for your in-market teams.
