In a sense you know you are successful when you are “phished” (spoofed). In 2007 a bogus “phish” web site was set up that looked like TixRUs claiming to have discounted tickets for several of our events. All it did was take people’s money and give them nothing. If you copy the URL in directly from official offline publicity, or enter by clicking a link on the official producer’s page, you are more than likely good. Just make sure the producer’s page and/or their publicity was real to begin with! If you just found some random website on google, BE SUSPICIOUS! Here is the foolproof way to avoid being a chump: Look at the URL! If it has our domain (demo.tixrus.us or something.demo.tixrus.us) right after http:// or https:// AND right before any slashes it is our site. If it does not have this or if they are trying to fool you by putting “demo.tixrus.us” or some variant of it is elsewhere in the URL, IT IS NOT OUR SITE and DON’T GIVE THEM MONEY.
