lol I sympathise – when you try and picture all this motion going on simultaneously it gets a bit headachey. But you’ve had some solid answers already. The Earth rotates on its own axis, but it also follows an orbit around the sun. Every planet in the solar system follows its own orbit around the sun simultaneously, while rotating on its axis. Meanwhile, the moon is orbiting around the Earth as it spins, and as it orbits the sun. The moon follows us, we go round and round, and round the sun. Every planet with moons has the same sort of thing happening, simultaneously, but to try and hold all this motion in your head at the same time is really tricky. We’re only one star system, and plenty of the stars we see in the night sky have planetary systems revolving around them, and on, and on and it goes…
