ok, I am assuming that the white/red connection would be that hots?
——————————————- The text above is a follow-up to … —–Question—– Hello, I am replacing my electric cooktop. to tell you what I I have 3 wires coming from the breaker box through the wall. I have a base Copper, a black and white. Those are hot and are woking because I tested them with my tester. They are connected to 2 30 amp breakers in the box that are connected. Coming from the C/K I have a bare copper a black and a red. I am assuming tha t connect the bare to bare, the white to red and the black to black. Is this correct? I did that and the c/t did not work. How should I have them connected? The instructions are not that clear. I believe I have a grounding prob. but am not sure. Any help that you could give me would be greatly appreciated. —–Answer—– Hi Gary. It looks like you have it hooked up correctly. I’m afraid I don’t have any idea why it did not work after hookup. Verify you connections, and test the hots again. Good luck.
