Answer Hi Dan, The codes (both old and recent) I have discussed in the earlier questions. They could be related to the transmission itself (solenoid pack pressure switches, valve body and valve body bolts loose,plugged filter due to internal trans failure or torque converter failure causing debris; or a defective tcm. I looked at the wiring photos and it looks like your son did a credible job. On the question of the range sensor and its plug/wiring, I do note that there is another code, 0705, which you Don’t see, and which would be present if there was a problem with the range sensor or its wiring. So it appears that the tcm sees no problems with that sensor/wiring. You can either do the open/ground checks on the 4 pins at the TCM plug that I suggested or not as you choose. But there is no basis in the absence of that 0705 code to believe the range sensor is the problem. So it would appear to leave you with: something is wrong with the transmission that you got from the salvage yard or
