A – No. Only high-rise office buildings are required to install the photoluminescent exit path markings per Building Code § 27-383(b). For other buildings, photoluminescent exit path markings may voluntarily be installed in any egress path, but if they are, the markings must be installed completely and to the same standards required for office buildings in accordance with RS 6-1 (see RS 6-1 § 2.6).
