What medication should I take? First let me say right now that I am not a doctor, just a person who used to suffer from OCD and anxiety and used to have to take a lot of pills to deal with these conditions. I am not prescribing anything and anything I say right now is just my own opinion and is not intended to prevent, treat, or cure any disease. Now, doctors usually will prescribe medications such as SSRI’s (Selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors). These medications are used to treat depression, OCD, phobias, anxiety, or any combination of them. They may even be used for other purposes. What you need to know is that these medications are very useful and can help a person get a grip on things especially if their OCD or anxiety is ruining their lives. If you are unable to go to work or go anywhere, you should consider one of these. I would talk to your doctor and ask them which one is the safest for you.
