obligation incurred by Commissioned Officers using TA be waived?
The officer’s military branch decides whether or not to waive the two-year obligation, and can require officers to serve out the two years in lieu of reimbursement of TA funds. Officers should contact their appropriate branches to determine if this obligation will be waived, and if reimbursement will be allowed. Once waived, officers must reimburse the unserved portion of their service obligation to the issuing Army Education Center.
