Limit the pellets to about a 1/4 cup of food per day and give her all the timothy hay she will eat. Just limiting pellets without adding the hay can cause her to have digestive tract issues. Rabbit food was originally made for meat rabbits, not pet rabbits. It’s made to help rabbits gain as much weight as quickly as possible. Obviously, if you’re eating 16 week old rabbits, that’s probably the food you want. If you’re keeping a pet rabbit though, you don’t want them to get big fast. I can’t imagine “diet” pellets being anything good for rabbits. If they’re anything like ‘diet’ cat and dog food, they’re probably horrible. Just buy a quality plain pellet, no extra things in it, and feed hay. She’ll thin out eventually.
