NXPowerLite 5 seems to reduce the size of some files less than previous versions. Why is this?
Since NXPowerLite was first released in 2001, computer screens have got bigger and better. So we’ve changed NXPowerLite 5’s default settings to reflect today’s higher resolution devices. This will mean that optimized Microsoft Office and JPEG files will look better than if they had been optimized using a previous version of NXPowerLite. However, some optimized files may be larger than if they had been optimized using a previous version. If you’d like to replicate NXPowerLite’s previous default settings, please select ‘Optimize files for: Custom’ and press ‘Settings’. Then select the ‘Image Optimization’ tab and do the following: To replicate NXPowerLite’s old ‘Screen’ settings: For both ‘Microsoft Office’ and ‘JPEG’, ensure that the ‘Resize images for display at:’ box is checked, then change the display size to ‘1024×768’ and the JPEG quality level to ‘6’.
