Nuclear Fuel Services also advised, and NRC confirmed, that the house is located uphill from the NFS facility. Therefore, groundwater flows from the house to the plant. This fact eliminates groundwater as a potential pathway for contamination from the plant, leaving air as the only possible source of potential contamination to the house.
