Now that Version 1.1 is released, can I still make submissions with the Version 1.0?
As noted in the question above, MPI2007 Version 1.1 contains a number of fixes to the benchmarks, tools and documentation. Version 1.0 is obsolete and is no longer meant to be used. The SPEC HPG recognizes that it takes some time to distribute the new version and each user requires some time to migrate their run procedures to the new tools and conventions; a 3 month window is provided (10/01/2008 – 12/31/2008) after which no submissions using the Version 1.0 distribution will be accepted. If you are in a position where you could make valid runs with Version 1.0 but not Version 1.1, the SPEC HPG needs to be notified.
