Now that Roger Clemens is a Yankee, what should the Boston Red Sox do to counter this move?
Nothing, the Red Sox have the best record in baseball at the moment and are doing just fine, even with Manny in a slump. Their rotation is mostly strong (maybe one weak link but most clubs have 2 or 3 weak links so that is nothing to stress over!), Papelbon is as good a young closer as has appeared in the last 10 years, they have some experienced clutch campaigners helping the younger players along and are just generally playing some solid baseball. They should just take care of business the way they have been and let the Yankees circus sideshow do its own thing, and not worry about New York and Clemens until they play against them.
