No real Native American names are going to be in English. Any English “Native American” names are translations from non-English names. I doubt that “volcano” would be incorporated somewhere where there are no volcanoes. There would be no reason for a volcano to be even thought of in a traditional name, I would think, unless there were some locally. There just are not a bunch of volcanoes on the area of the continental USA. I think Mount St. Helens is the only active volcano on the continental USA and it is relatively recent (I believe it erupted in the 1980’s). From what I know it only blew once and is still rumbling. Based on the above I tend to doubt that “Laughing Volcano” would be a viable Native American name.
