It is a Self-Contained Breathing Apparatus (SCBA). The North Frontier SCBA is designed for industrial use, including confined spaces and other Immediately Dangerous to Life or Health (IDLH) environments. Q: What is the difference between the North Frontier™ SCBA and other SCBAs? A: There are several features that distinguish the North Frontier™ SCBA from other brands. • Available with facepiece or hood. The majority of brands are only available with a facepiece. The North Frontier™ SCBA is available with either a tight fitting facepiece or a hood. • Smallest demand valve available: The Compact Demand Valve (CDV) is extremely lightweight and low profile. • Simple, easy to use.
