None of the webcams on Camarades work / All I see is a red X or a broken image?
There are a number of causes / solutions to this. Please check the list below for one that applies to your situation. • Make sure your are using Netscape 3 or higher, or Internet Explorer 4 or higher. Don’t use the AOL browser, the webcams won’t work with this one. • When you view the index of online cams, you see 6 snapshots at a time. If you click a picture, a new browser window will open. This is the page where you will actually see moving pictures. • Make sure you are not using a proxy server. Check your browser settings and disable the proxy if nessesary. • If you’re browsing from work, check if you are behind a firewall. If so, ask the system administrator to check if port 2047 and 2048 are “open”. These ports have to be open to let the video stream through. • It could be that the webcam you’re trying to view already has 20 people watching it. In this case you won’t be able to view the webcam. Try that page a bit later on again.
