None of the styles which come with EndNote formats my references exactly as I want them. Is there any way I can change the formatting, for example, to change italic to bold text?

Yes, it is relatively simple to make changes to formatting – our EndNote styles page gives more information on this. I would like to include a Call Number in a reading list I am producing for students but none of the standard EndNote reference styles will produce this. It is possible to add an extra field, such as the Call number, to an EndNote style. There is a section in our EndNote styles page which explains how to do this. I am using Open Access PCs and would like to customise a style – EndNote will not allow me to save a modified style on the C drive. You can save your modified style to My documents on your P drive – it will go to P\My Documents\EndNote\Styles and EndNote should then find it along with the other inbuilt styles.
