No period for 5 months, constant nausea and indigestion, but not pregnant….what could it be?

Variations in the length of the menstrual cycle are usually the result of a temporary hormonal imbalance. There are wide variations in a womans normal pattern of bleeding in the first few months following childbirth and with the approach of the menopause (sorry but am not sure what age you are). But yes, hormonal imbalances caused by factors such as stress, depression and severe or long term illness can cause irregular periods.
