No matter how many times I tried taking my babys temperature with the Ear Thermometer, the temperature seemed abnormally low. What is wrong?
The Ear Thermometer uses an infrared sensor to measure the amount of infrared radiation produced by the eardrum and the area around it. • When you take a measurement, make sure that your baby’s ear is clean, and that the probe cover is correctly attached. Also be sure to keep your baby still after you insert the Ear Thermometer. • If the Ear Thermometer is not inserted far enough or the sensor is not pointing towards the eardrum, measurements may be low. It might take a bit of trouble, but make a few attempts to get the sensor into the best position for measurement. • If the probe cover is dirty, damaged, or has come loose, you may not obtain correct measurements. If this is the case, replace the probe cover. *Spare probe covers are sold separately in packs of 20.
