Before you take on this job, you need to know that you are in for a nightmare on this car – You have to take out the AC plenum and heater control assembly before you can even start to get at the heater core, and you have to take off all the hoses, vacuum lines, control wires, resistor hook-up, and brackets, also the glove box, which will probably break up in your hands trying to get it out. The heater core is buried in the AC evaporator plenum, and to get at it is a 10 step process which is much too complicated for me to try to describe to you without pictures for you to look at – you really need to get a factory service manual to show you how to do this job.
