Nissan Sentra–highbeams indicator on, one headlight out?

0

I have a 1999 Nissan Sentra. When I turn the headlights on, the high beams indicator is on, and only one headlight is on. I can turn on the brights no problem. After a while (10-20 minutes) the brights indicator goes off and the regular light turns on. Sometimes the light never comes on. I suspect a wiring problem. How hard/expensive will it be to fix? A: I would be looking to replace the combo switch after you remove it you can snap off an opaque cover and inspect the reed like contacts the discolored one is that high beam contact that has bad connection and it overheated. Also if you put in stronger light bulbs than the 55watt/85 watt that tends to make the combo switch suffer. Sentra 1999 I owned I used 75 watt x 100 watt bulbs but I also used two relays for my high beams wired directly to the battery under the hood.
