New construction, renovation or post-construction: when do I suggest a Qt Quiet technology™-based system?
Qt Quiet technology™-based systems are easily added to a workspace at any point – new construction, post-construction or renovation. Since the system is installed within the targeted space, most typically within a suspended ceiling, access requirements to the plenum are minimized, greatly reducing the installation time, disruption, and cost. Qt Quiet technology™-based systems use standard CAT-3 computer cables and RJ-45 jacks and connectors. Emitters, cables and the control module literally snap together in “jig” time. When specified for new construction or renovation, important alternatives that directly impact both building costs and speech privacy should be considered: sound masking, party wall extensions to the deck, cubicle partition heights, workstation density, building materials—just to name a few. Of these sound masking usually provides the most leverage in ensuring happy users. Be sure to include the consideration of sound masking into your Value Engineering process.
