Neils lyrics are pretty crazy at times. How does he come up with them?
[laughs] I don’t know. Short answer: I don’t know. It’s always exciting to hear what’s going to happen with the lyrics. All along the way you always sort of get a picture of what’s going to happen lyrically. It’s never really what you thought it was going to be; it’s always a surprise. I think we’re getting better at sort of listening to the approach Neil’s taking and sort of complementing that vocal a little better—whether it’s a chorus or a verse. That’s definitely something we think of a lot more than we used to. Are you currently working on a record? Yeah, like I said, we’re always jamming. We have all of these sort of sketches we’ve recorded over the last several breaks we’ve had over the last year. Right now, we’re on the road with Black Label Socitey. Hopefully, we’ll get to writing some stuff while we’re out on the road. It’s a pretty long tour and there’s a lot of down time.
