Need some one liners to tell them one balloon per child, without sounding gruff or bossy?
• “If you want another balloon, you’ll need to get in line again.” • “I only make one per person per turn.” • “I’ll get fired if I give more than 1 per child.” • “I only have enough balloons to give one to each child.” • “If I give you more than one, the next person might want more than one . . . for each of her 3 kids and 7 grandkids and 16 great-grandkids, not to mention the neices and nephews.” • “I get accused of a lot of things, and most of them fall under being fair.” • Discuss it with the boss before hand that you can blame it on them and say, “The pay check said one per child. You gotta get them to change the rules.” The boss may even say, “Only one turn.” • “I’m donating my time and balloons, and I’m afraid I’ve only brought enough to entertain the people here at this event.
