Need recommendations on where to live in greater LA area?
My husband and I are planning to move there at the end of this year. My husband will be working in 2 offices of his company–downtown LA and Irvine in Orange County. We would like to find a neighborhood that wouldn’t be too horrible to commute to either place. We would ideally like a neighborhood that has some shops/grocery/schools to walk to and not be confined to a car. We would also be looking for a place with good public schools. I think most of West LA (Brentwood/Bev Hills, etc.) are out of our budget, but we could spend $1.5 million on a house (however we would like something with space and a decent sized yard for the kids and dogs). I’d appreciate some recommendations on cities/neighborhoods to focus our search on. Thanks.
