Need opinion please! Which HR/Recruiting job should I take?
Congratulations! My choice would be to go the 12 miles for the HR Assistant’s role. Keep in mind that with every job you are preparing for your next opportunity. Of course the recruiting role can grow into something else, but there is a huge sales component in that job. Keep in mind they are going to have to pay for that new space, so your role will be to earn business as well. This is fine, if that is what you want and you are entrepreneurial. The HR Assistant’s role will give you a much broader knowledge base and you ultimately get to pick which area of HR you really love. It is not an accident that Recruiting roles are always readily available. People move in and out of those roles a lot. Boils down to: Broader base knowledge. If you are new to the career, that’s where you should go. You will learn all you need to know about recruiting as the HR Assistant as well. How wonderful to have a choice like this. Good luck.
