Need help with the price of moving out! Experience please.?

I am 20 and am planning to move out by the end of the year. I would love a house but we all know that’s out of my price range right now! I am looking to move out with my friend or with a good friend of mine. Either way I need help finding the total cost so I can plan my way to moving out! Right now I figure an apartment between $100-$300 is my price range. That will obviously be split in half with the roommate.

You have to be more specific. Moving out of your parents’ house or moving out of a rented home?

When you’re moving out of your parents’ home you have to arrange a great deal of details. Like for example finding a job. This is really important because without a steady source of income you won’t be able to pay rent. It’s good to have saved up money when you’re moving out on your own. The sum you need to have depends mainly on the neighbourhood you’re moving to. It also depends on where you work place is located. If it’s far away form your address you’d need money for transportation.

If you’re moving out of a place you’ve rented you’ll need money for a moving company. The best way to save on money for moving is by packing all your belongings on your own. That way all you need to do is find a removals company and let them load and transport your items. Packing always costs extra, so unless you want to pay a bigger sum of money I suggest you do it yourself. The price you will pay for the transportation of your items depends on how far you’re moving to and how long the move itself will take. In London, UK people are charged by the hour and not by the weight of their items. If however you live in the USA you will be charged according to the weight of all your items.

See what I meant when I said your should be more specific? I can’t possibly say any numbers until I have more details. Good luck with your relocation.

What is your question?
